After opening for big names, hosting a bunch of shows under Malhar Laugh Club, and transforming Courtyard Koota into a laughter haven, Sandeep Nanu is finally taking the spotlight himself. Get ready for Sleightly Phunny, a one-hour ‘sand-up’ comedy show that’s part language lesson, and mostly just an excuse for Sandeep to show off his ability to make people laugh. With over 20 packed shows in two years at MLC, it was about time this guy got his own hour! Honestly, that was always his plan.

DISCLAIMER: Some jokes may sound eerily familiar if you attended his previous 30-minute set, (Sand & Brik at Koota, Lahe Lahe, The Underground Comedy Club), or caught one from his many opening acts. But hey, we all recycle - he’s just doing it with punchlines. So be kind and don’t go “I’ve heard this joke before”. This is more than just a comedy show; it's a celebration of a highly optimistic person who dared to dive into stand-up with zero background (except maybe some bad puns at social gatherings) and built a comedy club with successful shows over the last two years.

Instead of feeling dejected post-pandemic, Nanu picked up not one, not two, but three new skills: bird photography, snake rescues, and stand-up comedy. Come celebrate the laughter - and maybe witness a few surprises along the way.
