Sri Raghavendra Hegde

Sri Raghavendra Hegde hailing from Sirsi, is the leading exponent of Sand-Art in Karnataka. Over the past 10 years, he has had more than 700 Sand Art performances across India and abroad. He has explored myriad possibilities with sand and creates a visual delight to the spectators. He has had collaborative shows with well-known artists like Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Kareena Kapoor, Rahul Dravid and others. He has also lent his art for creating brand promotion videos and documentaries. He is a show-stealer at several corporate shows and is adorned with numerous awards.

Vidwan HS Venugopal

Vidwan H S Venugopal is a renowned Carnatic flautist and Music educator. Over a career spanning 40 years across India and abroad, he has excelled both as a solo performer as well as an accompanying artist to the performances of several reputed artists in various dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Mohini Attam, Kathakali, Kuchupudi, Yakshagana, Kavyavachana etc,. He has several awards to his credit including the coveted ‘Karnataka Kalashree’ conferred by the Government of Karnataka. He runs the ‘Gokulam School of Music’ which is training about 150 flautists.

Ragavalli Fine Arts Foundation is immensely honored to host these two wonderful artists on the evening of the 31st of March, 2023. We invite all our patrons to come, enjoy and soak in the myriad pictures evolving and dissolving into sand in harmony with the lilting tunes of the flute.
