ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
Abhin and Harsh are an instrumental duo which plays improvised music
influenced by traditional and contemporary Jazz artists as well as various other genres. Their interactive chemistry and the harmonic blend of piano and guitar supported by a looper allows them to create raw soundscapes, grooves and melodies which gives them their unique sound. Their music can be described as colorful and playful yet reflective. Their set is a mix of original compositions and their interpretations of tunes by modern jazz composers like Ben Wendel, Gilad Hekselman and more.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
ABHIN IYPE, PIANO
Abhin is a Pianist/Keyboardist from Bangalore. He has previously studied at the Global Music Institute and has been working and collaborating with several artists in Delhi such as Sentirenla Lucia, Eshaan and Priyana, Aeon of Lanzark, Sonic Alchemists and various other projects. He draws his influences from styles such as Jazz, RnB, Rock, Folk and Western classical music among many others.
HARSH SHANDILYA, GUITAR
Harsh is a guitarist based out of New Delhi. Having spent two semesters at Global Music Institute, studying under Antonio Molina Moya and Aditya Balani. Influenced by artists such as Joe pass, Jonathan Kreisberg and Oscar Peterson his playing can be best described as traditional yet relaxed. Under the guidance of renowned pianist Aman Mahajan, Harsh is trying to explore various sounds in Jazz and promote the art form in the city.
