Aruna Bhargavi
Is a practitioner and performer of Bharatanatyam for the past 25 years. She presently mentors under the noted danseuse Smt Ramaa Venugopalan, Founder — Lakshmi Kalaalayam, Bangalore

Since her Arangetram in 2005, Aruna has performed in several noted cultural spaces. Aruna has worked in ‘Thari — the Loom’ a production by internationally acclaimed dancer-choreographer Padmashree Malavika Sarukkai at Chowdiah Memorial Hall – Bangalore, Kamani – New Delhi, JBT-Jaipur, India by the Nile -Egypt, Queen Elizabeth Hall for Alchemy Festival – London, Cervantino Festival – Mexico City, ICCR tour Guanajuato and San Louis Potosi- Mexico and John F. Kenndy center for the Performing Arts – Washington DC

She has also freelanced with noted danseuse Smt Anuradha Venkatraman in her dance initiative ‘Unearthed Stories’ in collaboration with IFA staged at Venkatappa Art Gallery – Bangalore. She presently tours with her on her new production “6 feet – land and us”
Aruna was an integral part of a collaborative production Ariyaa that was staged in Bangalore in March 2019
Aruna holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts under the direction of Natya Kala Acha¬rya Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, in the concept of Natya Shastra, history and theory of Art dance.
Aruna is the founder of Kala Kalpakshetra where she imparts training in Yoga and Bharathanatyam. She also curates “Anveshanam”, a monthly collaborative series with other artistes / art forms creating an interactive platform.

Jagadishwar Sukumar
Is a practitioner and performer of Bharatanatyam for the past 18 years. He  presently mentors under the noted danseuse Smt Ramaa Venugopalan, Founder — Lakshmi Kalaalayam, Bangalore. He has also attended Upadhye School of Dance, Attakalari.

Dance form: Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi, Contemporary and Mixed Movements.
Workshop’s attended: On Abhinaya by Guru Smt. Bhragha Bassell.
Collaborations: Shruthi KP, Preethi Bharadwaj and Team, LTD, Aayana Dance Company.
