Suddhasil Chatterjee: Santoor
SUDDHASHIL, with a gifted inarticulate sense of aesthecity has made an identity of solidarity
in the doyen of Indian Classical Music. His Guru, Pt.ShivKumar Sharma’s aesthetic Training
backed up by Immense training of Hindustani Vocal Music amalgated with intense trainning of
Tantrakari style of Maihar-Senia Gharana has developed his own style of SANTOOR Playing.
Connoissoiers, Critics and Audience in India and Abroad are moved with his presentation
illustrating the tranquility of Indian Classical Music , otherwise critical in a complicated
instrument like SANTOOR.
His aesthetic touch on the strings make listeners emotionally moved crossing boundaries of
Language, Culture. Connoisoiers are considering framing of his Ragas as rare in Santoor in his
Generation.
Nilimesh Chakraborty: Tabla
Nilimesh Chakraborty was born in a musical family and started learning from the early age of 2 from his uncle Sri Ajay Chakraborty then from Shri Debasish Majumder(a deciple of Late Pt.Shankar Ghosh).
Later from the age of 13,he is under the tutelage of Pt.Swapan Siva of Farrukabad Gharana.
ACHIEVEMENTS
He received the 1st position and the champion trophy from Doverlane Music competition ,Sarba-Bharatiya Sangeet Parishad and Murari Smriti sangeet Samellan ,2nd position in the West Bengal State academy competition and TTIS fest award for consecutive 3 years.
