Songs of love, loss and longing
Love is the most universal human emotion. Irrespective of who we are or where we are from, we have all experienced the incredible highs and intolerable lows that are inescapable in love. This performance is a musical journey through poetry, classical and contemporary music, that explores the various facets of love in an intimate concert conversation, through voice, piano and light percussion. Pieces will include an eclectic mix of poetry set to music from composers like Mirabai, Jayadeva, Akka Mahadevi etc. in various languages, along with some selections of ghazals and music of film.
