Our neighbourhood is filled with interesting people and stories. We contemplated how these stories can be shared and saved for a larger audience in the future.

Introducing Insights Unplugged. Through this initiative, we are trying to explore ideas that help us learn, share and inspire each other. The first vertical under this is talk shows where we talk to people and learn from their experiences. In our first episode, we talked to Rose Mary Dean (from Mosaic) and Chethan Prakash (from Patterns) who recently scaled the Everest Base Camp. The Everest Base Camp trek on the south side, at an elevation of 5,364 m, is one of the most popular trekking routes in the Himalayas.

We were joined by our audience for an informal chat with these two trekkers and learn what it took to achieve this feat (17, 598 to be precise). They detailed the months of training they undertook beforehand, as well as the sights and sounds of Nepal they saw upon landing in Kathmandu. The ordeals that they faced on the trek tested their resilience, strength, and determination to the fullest, such as altitude sickness, fatigue and extreme cold. However, they returned stronger than they were before because of these obstacles. This initiative and episode were hosted by our brand expert, bird photographer, snake rescuer, and aspiring stand-up comic, Sandeep Nanu.
